Custom Jewelry - Pierced Opal Pendant

This pendant was made from our full length article "Scrolled Silver & Opal Pendant" from Jewelry Artist Magazine June, 2007.
The pendant was also used on the promotional brochure Jewelry Artist Magazine sent out when they officially changed their name from Lapidary Journal to Jewelry Artist in 2007. They used as photo of my pierced opal pendant on the front of the brochure... quite an unexpected surprise and honor.

The pendant combines a sterling silver pierced base, hand fabricated overlay and an exceptional 32 carat Andamooka Matrix gem opal bezel set in 14k gold. The opal used in this design was brought home with me from a trip to South Australia and the Andamooka opal mine in 2006.
