Custom Jewelry - The Flowers of Kangaroo Island

This pendant started with our client choosing an unusual Andamooka opal and we built the design around the opal to the client's specifications.The Andamooka opal is a rare combination of gem matrix and fiery purple crystal opal. I was asked to incorporate the opal into a floral scroll work design with a 22k gold bezel and 14k gold bead accents. We named this pendant Kangaroo Island due to the brown line running through the stone that reminded us of a shoreline. Kangaroo Island is a famous and beautiful location in South Australia. I cut this opal with my good friends and business associates Allan and Novi Shultz from South Australia.
