This is the third creation in our series of pierced reversible pendants. This is by far the most complex piece of the series. We've taken faceted pink spinel, peridot, amethyst and spessartite garnet and inset the gems into the back of the spectrolite. The gems are actually held by the metal but float just above the spectrolite which had to be carved away to accomodate the gems. I actually wondered if Mark was going to make a hole on the other side of the spectrolite when he cut the impression for the peridot. Mark made another of his tube set gem connectors for this design which enables the wearer to flip the pendant to either side without removing the necklace. He used a gorgeous rhodolite garnet for the gem connector which matches the spectrolite cabochon perfectly.
